Fantiland | Oclini

The mascot of our ski resort is the elephant Fanti and Fanti also gave our children’s ski area its name.

Our children’s tow lifts  (or ‘magic carpets’ how we like to call it) will bring your little ones right up to the starting point where they can then enjoy the fun and exciting skiing experience on South Tyrol’s snowy slopes in absolute safety. And if they want to unbuckle their skis and jump on a sled to speed over the children’s slope – that’s okay too. They can explore the children’s playground or just romp and have fun in the extensive
snow-covered area only for them and the pristine, fresh mountain air is included.

It’s just a few meters from the sun deck of the Schwarzhorn Hotel in South Tyrol. You won’t have to worry about constantly keeping an eye on the kids. You can simply lie there, unwind, and soak up the wonderful South Tyrolean sunshine – and still remain in earshot of your children.

Fun for the kids. Relaxation for the parents. The recipe for an amazing family holiday.

Giant Snowmen | Sesto

How to reach the giant snowmen

Gigantic, friendly, and as white as snow, our giant snowmen will greet you with a smile at the mountain station of the Croda Rossa cable car. Remember, building a snowman is not just for kids!

Year after year, after the first snow has fallen, visitors can observe our crew at the Croda Rossa as they roll the first big balls of snow. Piece by piece, these snowballs are stacked upon one another and are adorned with a hat, scarf and a carrot nose.
Located right at the Croda Rossa mountain station, these smiling, friendly, eight-metre-high snow sculptures look forward to welcoming you. Funnily enough, the family of snow men appear almost tiny against the backdrop of the impressive peaks of the Dolomites. Their true dimensions only become truly apparent once you ski past.

Reindeer Feeding | Sesto

How to reach this experience

Italy’s only reindeer herd are the famous, local stars of the vast preserve at the Croda Rossa. Feeling homey in the wild nature of the 3 Zinnen in the Dolomites, the shaggy animals provide amusing and fascinating encounters, even on the ski slopes sometimes.

Reindeer feedings, an unforgettable winter highlight for all ages, take place at the mountain station of the Croda Rossa Gondola Lift. Help us feed the smallest reindeer herd in the Alps during a daily feeding session. The animals are served a healthy portion of Icelandic moss followed by special “reindeer candy” (mixed grains) for dessert. This is a fairytale experience in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites for the entire family and features up-close encounters with these likeable antlered characters

Free Fall Ride | 3 Zinnen Dolomites

How to reach the experience

Lots of adrenaline and exciting insights into the daily work at cable car and lift stations is offered to experienced slope athletes choosing the “Free Fall Ride” in the ski resort 3 Zinnen Dolomites. Known as one of the steepest descents in the Alps, the deep black “Holzriese” slope is a big challenge – not only for skiers but also for the staff members working at cable cars and lifts, who are in charge of excellent snow conditions and perfect slope grooming.

What exactly does this challenge entail? Courageous individuals can find out as they join a snow-cat driver during an evening drive in the cockpit of a snow groomer. Being a passenger in a vehicle responsible for grooming the steepest slope in Italy groomed on a daily basis is nearly as exhilarating as skiing the slope itself! At this gradient (72%), “even the snow groomers have to wear mountaineering crampons” as the machines rely on winches to secure them in the most treacherous areas.

It’s an unforgettable experience for anyone who wants to have a closer look to the technical difficulties of operating a machine with precision in extreme circumstances.
