This pleasant walk leads from Compaccio/Compatsch towards Saltria, passing the Malga Ritsch and the Monte Piz and over vast mountain meadows to the Baita Sanon hut on a relaxing traverse of the Alpe di Siusi. The Alpine pastures and mountain huts along the route provide a welcome destination for a relaxing break.

Itinerary:
The winter walk begins in Saltria and leads along the forest road no. 9, passing the Floralpina and Tirler hotels. The route then runs along the river for a short stretch, veers off to the left, and leads steeply uphill in countless bends through the woods and up to the open Alpine meadows. A final climb takes us up to the Rifugio/Berghaus Zallinger hut and the little chapel in its idyllic setting. The way back to Saltria follows the same route.

A pleasant walk to relax and simply enjoy life. This route offers walkers a breathtaking view of the Schlern, almost within hand’s reach from the Baita Spitzbühl mountain hut, and leads onwards over endless snow-blanketed Alpine meadows to the Baita Laurin hut.

The meditation path with 14 stations leads from the parish church at Sesto to the chapel/Waldkapelle. Along the way, the stations invite you to pause for a moment with various texts from the Bible and reliefs. The ‘Lordesstöckl’, on the way to the Waldkapelle chapel, as well as the clear fountain at the 9th station of the path, are gladly visited.

The start is at the Restaurant ‘da Kathi’. After the first bend, you follow the signs towards “Willis Mühle” or the mark into the San Silvestro Valley. After 1.5 hours of walk, you reach the San Silvestro chapel. Behind the chapel, it goes short steep uphill till you come out of the forest (pay attention to the mark, it is not always clear). Soon you win free terrain and the view is always magnificent. Departure as an ascent or directly into the south-facing slope.

Enjoy a fantastic view and delicious menus at the Oberholz mountain hut.

Itinerary:
The starting point is the upper parking space. We follow path no. 9 until the Hotel Cristal where we turn left and follow the road uphill until we cross the sled run. Parallel to the sled run the hiking path proceeds up to the Epircher Laner Alm. Shortly before we reach the mountain hut, the signpost ‘Oberholz’ leads us up the slope to the left. After a few bends, the leveled path turns into a forest road that proceeds through a beautiful conifer forest straight to the mountain station of the Oberholz Chair Lift, where the new Oberholz Mountain Hut is located.

The mountain hut is an architectural highlight which modernly interprets natural and traditional forms of the alpine world. Due to the huge panorama windows, one feels part of the South Tyrolean alpine world. Oberholz is also accessible by chair lift.
