How to reach the Ski resort Klausberg

In the Klausberg Ski Area you have many opportunities to take your sledge and hit the snow!
The 5.5 km (3.4 mile) long sled run and ski path (well-lit with floodlights every tuesday night from 7:30pm-10:30pm) leads from the mountain station of the Klausberg cable car down to the valley station in Cadipietra/Steinhaus. The ascent to the starting point can therefore be covered comfortably with the ski lift.

The starting point of the S. Giovanni-St. Johann sled run and ski path is reached by foot via S. Giovanni (or else via the Klausberg cable car), with the descent following the same route back to the starting point in S. Giovanni. The path is illuminated with floodlights in the evening.,

Natural Sledge Run | Watles

How to reach the Natural sledge Run

The natural sledge run leads over 4 kilometers through the larch forest of Watles. It’s a place for relaxed sledge rides and is considered as one of the most beautiful toboggan runs in the entire Alpine region. It also is ideal for families with little kids because it is easily reachable with the chairlift. If you’d like to be extra sporty you can of course reach the sledge run by foot as well (by foot approx. 1.5 hours uphill).

You don’t own a sladge? No worries! You can rent sledges at the mountain station (limited availability).

You’ll find restaurants with cozy environment and spacious sun terraces both at the mountain station and the valley station.

Every Friday the Watles sledge run belongs to the night tobogganists. It’s lighted up and leads from the Plantapatsch alpine hut to the valley station. Chairlift operates until 11 pm.
