As the cold season settles in and the temperature falls below freezing, vacationers on the Renon mountain and plateau catch the holiday spirit and start feeling warm and cozy. The ski resort Corno del Renon, perfect for families and those seeking a laid-back skiing vacation, offers gentle but vast slopes. Idyllic winter landscapes will charm you hikers, cross-country skiers and lovers of nature, while the skaters among you may show off their skills on ponds and rinks.

Snowboarders will love the easy access to lifts and the wide open runs, and of course as passionate riders, will be stoked about the Snow Park at the mid station. Freestylers, this is the place to show off your tricks and skills! A bit below Corno di Sopra, there recently has been added a snowkiting area waiting to be conquered! Here, snowkiters on skis or snowboards are being pulled across snow-covered alpine pastures and slopes by steerable kites.

How to reach the Ski area Carezza

Once you are right in the middle of the skiing area, you can see its full extent: 40 kilometres of pistes, from – literally – child’s play to demanding and challenging. Some at the bottom, others at medium altitude or at the top – some blue, others red and black. Tame, simple, exciting for all beginners. Up to wild and wavy, impressive, even for experienced skiers! 14 different lifts take all repeat skiers back to the beginning of the fun on the slopes. But that’s not all: if you spend more than one day in Carezza, you can extend your skiing pleasure to the slopes of the partner ski area Val di Fassa! From 40 to 211 kilometres of pistes – and from 15 lifts to 83. In a total of seven ski resorts.

Winter sports enthusiasts can choose from a total of 44 km of slopes for all levels in Solda. You can take the free ski bus to easily and comfortably reach the lifts from the village. The slopes at Kanzel and Langenstein are particularly suitable for experienced skiers, whereas the slopes of the cable car offer ideal conditions for all skiers from beginners to deep snow freaks or experts. Beginners will find two practice lifts at the valley station and on the sunny slope.

Watles is a particularly popular ski area in the border triangle of Northwest Italy, a mere stone’s throw from Switzerland and Austria, and is well-known for its many hours of sunshine. In fact, it is the sunniest area of the entire Ortler Ski Arena.

Watles is also a great place for lovers of Nordic skiing. The Slingia Nordic Ski Center is a meeting point for national and international cross country ski athletes. International competitions take place at the 15 km circuit at Slingia. The Watles area also offers a wide range of excellent trails and challenging tracks for ski mountaineers and snowshoe hikers. Numerous trails lead up to the highest mountains and their peaks. Watles is also popular among ski mountaineers for its special ski mountaineering downhill run, which makes it a unique destination.
