Hofschank Walderhof | Naz Sciaves

How to reach the Walderhof

To the Törggelen, in addition, to each other cause, we invite you in our Hofschank opened from April to in the middle of December. Of course, in the golden autumn at the Törggelen, the classics among the Eisacktaler specialities await you. We also adapt the menu in our restaurant in Natz to the season of the year – so it always remains very varied. The decisive factor is what the field and garden offer at the moment and what is tasty. Our typical “Eisacktaler Hofschank” is child-friendly and is ideal for a stop after a hike, as a stop on your bike or motorcycle excursion, but also for a hearty family celebration with a lot of alpine local colour. In the garden next to the bar the children can let off steam to their heart’s content, while the parents let the evening fade away with a good glass of wine from the region.

Just come by and have a good time!

Törggelen at Walderhof

Törggelen is offered also at Walderhof Family Apartments. In the Walderhof tavern you can taste our delicious fresh pressed wine and apple juice, as well as our roasted chestnuts. We are happy to give you our advices for Törggelen hiking tours in Natz and Eisack Valley. For example we suggest to try the Apple Hike, that will bring you across our nice village.

Opening hours:
Friday – Monday: from 10 am to 11 pm
Tuesday – Thursday: from 11 am to 4 pm
Wednesday: closed

Winery Schreckbichl | Appiano

How to reach the Winery Schreckbichl

The 28 winegrowers from Schreckbichl near Girlan were rebels, who left the Garlan cellar cooperative in 1960 to found their own cooperative. They named them after their homeland, the small hamlet of Schreckbichl. But the Schreckbichler were also pioneers, because after their foundation they began to consistently turn the quality spiral. Today, the 300 members and employees of the winery continue to work consistently according to this model.
The 300 winegrowers cultivate the wine on a total area of 300 hectares. The vineyards are situated between 230 and 650 metres above sea level in one of the best growing areas in South Tyrol. A total of 12 varieties are cultivated, 35 percent of the wines are red wines and 65 percent white wines. Working in harmony with nature has long been an issue at Schreckbichl and applies not only to winegrowing, where cultivation is as gentle as possible and harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand, but also includes the cellar. Since the completion of the conversion work in spring 2012, photovoltaic panels and a heat recovery system have made the winery largely energy self-sufficient.

Winetypes:
White wines: Gewürztraminer , Chardonnay , Goldmuskateller , Müller Thurgau , Pinot Grigio , Riesling , Sauvignon , Weissburgunder
Red wines: Pinot Noir , Cabernet , Lagrein , Merlot , Vernatsch
